The Scholar and the Labourer

A scholar of Islamic jurisprudence, Bakr Al-Muzani, saw a labourer carrying goods with him while constantly uttering, “Alhamdulillah” (All praise is for Allah SWT) and “Astaghfirullah” (I seek forgiveness from Allah SWT). The scholar said that he waited for the laborer to rest from his load before he spoke to him. Then Al-Muzani asked him, “Do you not know anything other than this (Alhamdulillah and Astagfirullah)?” The labourer responded, “Indeed I know much else and I do read the Book of Allah SWT, except that a slave of Allah is constantly shifting between a state of blessing (from Allah SWT) and sin. This being the condition of man I praise and thank Allah SWT for the blessings He has given me and seek his forgiveness for my sins.” The scholar said, “Certainly this labourer has a deeper understanding of the religion than Bakr (himself).”

Forever it wont last

Have u ever realized, that u missed so much in life. Do u live just to live, just to be called alive..?? Have u ever forgotton and let a great friendship die, just coz u dint had time and u forgot to say hi.. Do u realize, u are heading so fast. This one life u have forever wont last.. Ever felt the drops, the rain slapping the ground Ever bothered to touch and gather the moments around..?? Ever noticed the feel on that innocent face, all they want is a part of ur time but u are hurried to win the race. You often dance on the muzic, the one playing somewhere behind, Have u ever heard the voice, calling u from ur inner side. Slow down a bit, and shower ur love to all. Dont run so fast, This one life u have forever it wont last….

Basket of Water

Why do we read Quran, if we can’t understand a single Arabic word? This is a beautiful story: An old American Muslim lived on a farm in the mountains of eastern Kentucky with his young grandson. Each morning Grandpa was up early sitting at the kitchen table reading his Quran. His grandson wanted to be just like him and tried to imitate him in every way he could. One day the grandson asked, “Grandpa! I try to read the Quran just like you but I don’t understand it, and what I do understand I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading the Qur’an do?” The Grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and replied, “Take this coal basket down to the river and bring me back a basket of water.” The boy did as he was told, but all the water leaked out before he got back to the house. The grandfather laughed and said, “You’ll have to move a little faster next time,” and sent him back to the river with the basket to try again. This time the boy ran faster, bu

The Prophet SAW beautiful character. I love this.

When he turned, he would turn his whole body. Meaning that he did not steal any glances. It is said that it means that he did not turn his head left or right when looking at something because this is the mannerism of those frivolous and thoughtless, having no sense of purpose; instead he would turn his whole body to one who addressed him, showing his complete concern to what he was saying and would turn his whole body away upon finishing. Therefore when he was talking to someone or other such things, he would turn his entire body to him and not just turn his head as this is the manner of the arrogant.
